i loved this old place! super quirky and cool, seriously! the staff are amazin, especially laura at the front desk, she's like the friendliest person ever. the breakfast was really good, lots of options to choose from. my room was cozy and clean, had a comfy bed too.

but the shower could use a lil upgrade, and it was kinda hot in the room.

Massive comfy bed, great shower in the Standard Double Room. the view out the window from the attic was simply stunning, offering a unique perspective of the surroundings. The outdoor seating area provided a pleasant spot to relax and enjoy some time away from the hustle, with a nice atmosphere supporting the experience.

Noise from neighbors above was hard to ignore at times, making it tough to enjoy peace and quiet, especially in the evenings. Without a fridge or mini-bar, staying hydrated overnight became an uphill battle, so plan to bring your own drinks if thirsty. The room felt quite hot during my stay, which may not bother everyone, but it did make for some restless nights, especially under those old roof angles.

we had a fantastic stay at the tontine. the location is perfect, right in the center, with everything you need nearby. our family room was spacious and beautifully decorated, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. breakfast was a highlight with its locally produced options and great presentation!

Just a solid selection for a short-term stay in Peebles with great value for money. The staff were super helpful, sorting out my room when I needed to extend my stay. Make sure to enjoy the breakfast. it's worth it!

I recently stayed for 2 nights in a Standard Twin Room and thoroughly enjoyed the impressive dining experience with high-quality locally sourced food, especially the roast beef dinner, and the cozy atmosphere of the bar with a lovely fireplace. The breakfast presentation was also excellent, with fresh flowers adding a delightful touch. I would definitely return, as the experience was memorable, although the bar service could use some attention.

Welcoming staff, spacious restaurant, with an impressive view of the hills through high arched windows and a good breakfast menu offered with convenient free parking.
